Revolutionary!

Nacre Dance Group exists because of  Isadora Duncan’s ground-breaking discovery in movement, which led to the age of  modern dance in America. Duncan’s story has been given fresh life through the brilliant dance/theater piece created by World Dance Theater, titled “Revolutionary” and has been passed on to Nacre Dance Group.

“Revolutionary” shares the story of Isadora Duncan, articulated through prose and accompanied by her most famous dances.  Through this piece Nacre Dance Group has had the unique opportunity to delight and educate audiences with the powerful story of the  first bold steps of Isadora Duncan. Sweeping through Isadora’s colorful life trials, adventures and breakthroughs in dance, through the gaze of the spirited pioneer in modern dance. The performance is truly a breathtaking experience for all audiences. It can be seen at this year’s Empire State Youth Dance Ensemble’s performance at the Universal Preservation Hall in Saratoga Springs, NY on February 24, 2024.
