Join us on August 16, 2025, at Universal Preservation Hall in Saratoga Springs for Sip, Savor, and Swirl. This unique event pairs dance with wines from around the world, each choreographed piece capturing the essence of a specific wine through movement. The wines will be paired with cheese from The Cheese Traveler in Albany, NY, for a complete sensory experience.

Are you a local student dancer looking for a performance opportunity?

Nacre Dance Group is seeking dancers (ages 13 and up) to perform at Sip, Savor, and Swirl on August 16, 2025, at Universal Preservation Hall in Saratoga Springs, NY. Dancers will perform in two pieces, including a work by Kelly Guerrero, last year’s runner-up, and Beth Fecteau, Artistic Director.

Rehearsals will be intensive during the week of August 11-15 from 10 AM - 4 PM at Saratoga City Ballet studios. Since this is a short rehearsal period, dancers must be available for the entire week. The performance will take place on Saturday, August 16 at 7:30 PM, with a dress rehearsal on the same day.

If you’re interested in participating, please submit your application by May 30. A $400 participation fee will be required for selected dancers.

Showcase Your Choreographic Talent at Sip, Savor, and Swirl

We are now accepting choreographer submissions for Sip, Savor, and Swirl. Choreographers (ages 21 and up) are invited to create original works inspired by a specific, assigned wine, exploring its essence through dance.

Stipend: Honorary stipend upon completion

How to Apply:

  • Submit the Google Form application by March 30, 2025

  • Selected applicants will be invited for a video interview

  • Accepted applicants will perform in the Sip, Savor, and Swirl event on August 16, 2025 at 7:30 PM

  • The winning choreographer will be commissioned for Nacre Dance Group’s upcoming season.
